How It Found Me

People often ask me, “What inspired you to become a photographer?” The truth is, I didn’t go looking for photography—it found me.

Growing up, I spent countless hours with my grandfather, who loved taking photos of everything around him. Whether it was family gatherings, blooming flowers in his backyard, or the golden light right before sunset, he always had a camera in hand. I would sit beside him, listening to his stories and watching the way his eyes lit up when he talked about the moments he captured.

Those quiet afternoons taught me something special—that every photograph holds a story. It isn’t just a picture; it’s a feeling, a memory, a heartbeat frozen in time.

When I picked up a camera for the first time, I felt that same spark my grandfather had. I wasn’t just clicking a button—I was learning how to see the world through light, emotion, and connection. That’s when I fell in love with photography.

Today, through Haley Wacker Photography, I get to share that same love and storytelling with families across Fort Worth and the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Whether it’s the joy of a growing family during a maternity session, the laughter shared during a family photoshoot, or the excitement of a senior portrait, I see every session as a story worth telling.

Photography, to me, is about more than beautiful images—it’s about emotion. I want people to look back at their photos and feel the love, laughter, and life in that moment. That’s the legacy my grandfather passed on to me, and it’s the one I hope to share with every family I photograph.

If you’re looking for a Fort Worth photographer who values connection, emotion, and authentic storytelling, I’d be honored to help capture your story.
