A Photographer’s Travel Diary

Spring break is hands down my favorite time of the year! It’s the perfect chance to explore new places, soak in nature, and, of course, take plenty of photos along the way. This year’s adventure took me through some of Texas’ most beautiful spots—Gruene, Marble Falls, and San Antonio—each offering its own unique charm.

Starting the Journey in Gruene

The week kicked off with a stop in Gruene, TX, where we grabbed a delicious meal at the famous Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar. If you’ve never been, this place is a must-visit! With its scenic river views and historic charm, it was the perfect way to start our trip.

Exploring Marble Falls & The Missing Hotel

Next, we headed to Marble Falls for an unforgettable stay at The Missing Hotel—and trust me, this place was as cool as it sounds. It was the ideal mix of peaceful, remote, and full of adventure. We spent our days hiking (where we actually got lost searching for cows), but the best part? We eventually found them and even got to feed them! Moments like these remind me why I love natural light photography—capturing those raw, unexpected moments in nature is pure magic.

On our last day in Marble Falls, I couldn’t resist taking some photos around The Missing Hotel—but to protect everyone’s privacy, I’ll be keeping those hidden. Just know, the scenery was absolutely stunning!

San Antonio & SeaWorld Fun

For the last leg of our trip, we spent three days in San Antonio, with the highlight being SeaWorld! It was the perfect way to wrap up an adventurous, fun-filled spring break.
